WOW! You must be having some serious cleaning issues if you need to come here! Well, never fear! We can help you. Here are some of the issues that are more common than you might think:
- Make-up: This is probably the one area where parents are the most concerned. No matter what you tell them, somehow your daughters still manage to get make-up on the carpet. DON'T WORRY, it will come out just fine. Nothing special needed on my end BUT if you dont' wan't to make the problem worse, call me!
- FingerNail Polish: Probably the second most common issue in carpet. DON"T CUT IT OUT! It needs special treatment but it will clean out just fine!
- Shoe Polish, Hair Dye, Mustard, and Furniture Stains: Definitely specialty stains. These don't take much effort but they do take time and knowledge to get them out. BUT THEY WILL COME OUT!
- Pet Stains and Plant Stains: These are both organic stains and can be removed but, again they may take time. (D.I.Y. Note: if you catch the problem before the discoloration starts, you can prevent it by using white vinegar. It will neutralize the bleaching agents. You don't need to use alot though. Sometimes vinegar can be an annoying smell until the cleaners get there.
- Oh Yes! The dreaded Kool-aid/punch/popsicle stains: These too, can be removed. In fact, they are the easiest of all stains to remove. Don't EVER let somebody tell you they can't take them out! If they do, then they don't have any business in your home and you should fire them immediately!
Please Note: Many spotting issues can be addressed with a simple mixture of soap, water, and a white towel. (Note:The issues addressed here ARE NOT REVERSABLE using this method and may be problematic.) If you are fortunate to own a carpet cleaning machine (ie: Bissell, Rainbow, etc) then apply the soap and water mixture separately. (Use your dishsoap. The manufacturer soaps are too strong for spotting and so you might have a tough time getting the right mixture.) Use your machine only to rinse the soap out of the carpet. Follow up with a dry WHITE towel and pat the area dry.
